COARCI was born with the energies of the 2021 Winter Solstice as a platform to unite the sons and daughters of Iberia.

Separated by a political border, Spain and Portugal share a common past that converge at various moments in history, a rich and important culture that would enrich and import cults to other nations of Europe and the world. This is a fact that is sometimes ignored by non  Spanish or Portuguese speaking academics. 

The reality is that within Iberia itself, we also make the mistake of forgetting the connection between us.

COARCI rises with an intention of cooperation, inform and to create a common archive, as well as to promote a Conference of Ancient Religions and Cults of Iberia. An event that intends to share and bring together all those interested in the Iberian Culture both inside and outside the our Peninsular borders.

Our Mission: 

• Promote the study of Iberian historical and protohistoric cults through various initiatives, including the creation of a common archive on the different cults and religions of the Iberian Peninsula.
• Evaluate the findings and sites of archaeological value that represent and reflect the activity and phenomenon of ancient cults of great importance both for the academic community and for the religious communities for which they are so significant.
• Promote the conservation of the material and immaterial vestiges of the past of the ancient Iberian cults.
• Act as a link between the community of devotees, the scholars and academics who study the cults and religions of Iberia, both the local cults that emerged in the peninsula and those cults that came from other places to settle in Iberia.
• Create a space to bring together different devotees, individuals or associations, cults, both in Iberia and abroad, who currently practice Iberian cults or worship Iberian deities.
• To make known the contemporary religious / spiritual initiatives that try to rescue past cults of in Iberia, preserving and restoring their meaning and importance today.
